Slate Bistro is...Certified Executive Chef Dave Sgro and Cheryl Tacka, and we opened our doors Monday, August 6, 2012.
We met while working together in the South Hills and we are both former restaurant owners. Dave's previous venture was at LaScala in the Cultural District of Pittsburgh, and Cheryl was in West Virginia. We have wanted to do something together for some time and finally got the opportunity this summer.
